Imagining culture as a dimension of long-term environmental policy

About this Event

How do we conceive the relationship between 'nature' and 'culture'? How could we (re)imagine this relationship, given our visions of collectively desirable futures? Should we reject nature/culture dichotomies, integrating or reconciling the ’natural’ and the ’cultural’ How does our imagination of nature and culture influence the design and mobilization of environmental policy -- especially when we take a long-term perspective?

Intertwined with a collection of visual and audio elements, the questions above will configure a setting over which participants will be invited to share their experiences, knowledge and advice. The conversation will be digitally documented. The resulting recommendations and insights will be used as input elements in the design process of a citizen culture strategy in Bogotá, Colombia, to be carried out via a series of experiments at least until 2024.
