About this Event

As part of SIX Wayfinder Movement No. 2 — Ensembling, we are bringing together two leading thinkers and doers in a public global dialogue, ‘Open Duets’.

In this session, we are inviting Javier Guillot from Bogota City Government and Jayne Engle from McConnell Foundation to reflect and have a conversation on how we can shape different possible futures for cities and what is the role of citizens in them. How can we as citizens imagine culture and nature in different ways and take action and decisions differently in our daily lives? How do we create experiments that guide us to different futures for cities, which are more resilient and livable?

Contributors

  • Javier Guillot currently works at Bogota City Government as the Environmental Culture Lead at the Directorate of Citizen Culture. In his previous role, he has led the Public Innovation Team at the National Planning Department in Colombia, striving to catalyze innovation in the Colombian public sector by facilitating human- and community-centred experimentation spaces.

  • Jayne Engle is the Director, Cities & Places Portfolio at the McConnell Foundation. Cities for People aims to test new ways of working and building networks to create more resilient and livable cities.
